Now I bet you're already asking yourself "What in the hell is this? Is this Radiohead and Thomas the Tank Engine? How!?". Well let me explain. This is a page dedicated to the series of syncs involving Radiohead, and yes, Thomas the Tank Engine.

Why Thomas the Tank Engine? Because why not! I grew up with Thomas the Tank Engine and remains to be a part of my life for reasons. Not only that, but Thomas has had strong connections with those in the music industry when compared to other children's TV shows.
 

Ringo Starr was the narrator for the shows first two seasons. Junior Campbell, one of the shows original composers of the show, was the singer for the Scottish band Marmalade, who are known for doing great covers of Beatles songs like Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da & Drive My Car. 
 

Tim Staffell who worked on making the models for show, played Bass for the band Smile, which would later become Queen. Ted Robbins, Famous British Actor and Comedian who is also the second cousin of Paul McCartney, narrated audio books for The Railway Series.
 

So how does Radiohead fit into this? Split the name Thomas from the m and a. It becomes Thom (Yorke) as the Tank Engine.

Due to the amount of characters there are on the show, there are now enough engines that share the same names with the members of Radiohead:
 

• Thomas the Tank Engine - Thom Yorke

• Edward the Blue Engine - Ed O'Brien

• Sailor John - Jonny Greenword

• Colin the Steam Crane - Colin Greenword

• Phillip the Box Cab Diesel - Phillip Selway
   

And lastly, have you ever heard the term Opposites Attract? These syncs are possibly one of the best cases of that term. Radiohead are known for their dark somewhat even depressing lyrics. Thomas is known for it's happy go lucky characters and moral filled adventures.

Put them together and you get a match made in heaven. And these actually work, it's not like say, putting a pop album to a horror movie and you say it works when it really doesn't, these really do work well.
